The facilitation and guidance provided by The Governance Group to the Architectural
Institute of British Columbia during the review and restructuring of our approach
to governance has been invaluable. Vince Battistelli is knowledgeable, articulate
and passionate about the subject of governance. He has taken the AIBC Council and
staff through visioning, goal-setting, and policy creation with clarity and creativity.
Vince understands that change engenders anxiety; and has responded to our concerns
patiently, and yet with a firmness that keeps us on track. The AIBC Council is now
leading by governing properly, thanks to Vince Battistelli.
Thank you Vince for a very inspiring and educational workshop yesterday here in
Whistler. I think you hit a home run on many fronts with the people in the room.
I know you did for me. I really get your passion for developing the people who sit
on Boards one member at a time.
Hi Vince just wanted to say thanks for such a great seminar/training session this
weekend in Parksville.
Hats off to the United Way in bringing it together but your presentations, skills,
knowledge and way of bringing us all “to the table” was magic. I know personally
that even tough I’ve served on a number of boards and presently sit on three – this
program made it so simple to focus on what we have to deal with and how to avoid
the stuff we don’t (shouldn’t) be dealing with. It also pointed out what we were
doing right, what we should consider and how to improve our governance model. Thanks
again for your time and efforts.
Thanks – your ears must have been ringing because I was on a conference call with
two boards saying ---- they should hire you. I gave them a quick overview but said
---- you have to have the expertise of this consultant to inform, instruct, lead,
challenge and solicit answers and direction.
Good on you. Again --- well worth it for me and I’m sure everyone who attended.
Many thanks and I heard from our ED (at SOS – Society of Organized Services) who
I bragged about the program to and she said she and another director took the program
about a year to two ago. In any event, I said it should be mandatory for our Board
members and in fact for all people considering going on a board.
I wish to thank you for the excellent governance seminar you conducted on behalf
of the local Chambers of Commerce. I am certain, that most of us will benefit from
your straight forward presentation and we will be able to serve our various organizations
better in future.
You did an excellent job and gave us (design) exactly what we needed. Several of
our Directors commented that the morning was the highlight of the three days of
meetings. In fact, your suggestions/admonitions etc were referred to quite often
during the following days. Such as ...remember what Vince said yesterday, we need
to ......"
Your delivery hit the perfect note for our group and I think you could tell they
all enjoyed the session.
I have attended several workshops on this subject matter in the recent past and
say this is the best of them I have attended. Concise, clear, informative, easy
to follow and understand, and well paced. You provided me with motivation to continue
at making further changes to how/what our board is doing.
It was a great couple of days and Vince was a fabulous Facilitator. Our Board members
who attended the workshop were extremely satisfied both with Vince’s delivery style
and the content, applicable to both work and Board roles.
I attended your presentation at the South Thompson Inn on Friday. I was inspired!
On behalf of the Chase and District Chamber of Commerce, I thank you!
